<br />VILLAGE COUNCIL OF ROSEVILLE <br />Regular Meeting Tuesday May S, 1953 at 2:00 P.M. <br /> <br />327 <br /> <br />The Village Council met on the above date with the following members present: <br />Carlson, Willmus, Membrez, Connor and Hammersten. Ira Karon, Village Attorney and <br />Milner Carley, Village Engineer, were also present. <br /> <br />Membrez moved, seconded by Willmus, that the reading of the minutes be waived <br />and approved as corrected, according to copies furnished each member of the Council. <br />Roll call Ayes-(S) IJayes-(O). <br /> <br />Willmus moved, seconded by Hammersten, that bids on Loader be opened. Roll <br />call Ayes-(S) Nayes-(O). The bids were opened &ld read as follows: <br /> <br />. . <br /> <br />Geo. T. Ryan Co. <br />Austin-Western Co. <br />Wm. H. Ziegler Co. <br />Rosholt Equipment Co. <br /> <br />$3277.00 <br />389S.00 <br />333B.OO <br />4809.00 <br /> <br />Willmus moved, seconded by Hammersten, that the biðs be referred to Committee <br />for tabulation. Roll call Ayes-(S) N~res-(O). <br /> <br />The Committee reported on the 1 1/2 Ton Truck for which bins were received on <br />April 21st. Low bid was from Grand Avenue Motor Co. for $2647.06. Connor moved, <br />Hammersten sèconded, to accept report of the ComQittee and purchase the truck from <br />the low bidder, Grand Avenue Motor Co. Roll call Ayes-(S) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />Clerk read the report of the Zoning Board on petition of Lieberg and Peterson <br />to rezone the following described property from Farm Residence to Business District. <br /> <br />"The South 8S Feet of the North S Acres of the East 15 Acres of the <br />Northeast 1/4 of the Northwest 1;'4 of Sëction 12, Township 29, <br />Range 23, Rænsey County, Except the West 99 Feet thereof." <br /> <br />The Zoning Board reported that Mr. Lieberg requested that the petition be <br />withdrawn because of the opposition of the neighbors. If this was rezoned, they <br />could build 'Wi thin 30 ft. of Westenl Ave. Membrez moved, Carlson seconded, that <br />the Clerk write Lieberg and Peterson a letter tellùlg them that they are violating <br />the Zoning Ordinance by conducting a business on farm zoned property. If they <br />wish to continue, they would have to present a petition for that portion only. <br />Roll call Ayes-(S) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />The Clerk reported on several complaints he had received about a Mr. A. J. <br />Schmitz of 925 Lovell conducting a business on Residence A property and planting <br />shrubbery and building a fence out on the public right-of-way. Membrez moved, <br />Carlson seconded, that the Clerk write a letter to Mr. Schmitz asking him to cease <br />operation of his business inunediately and to remove the above mentioned infringement <br />from the right-of-way. Roll call Ayes-(S) Uayes-(O). <br /> <br />Clerk read report of the Zoning Board on the petition of gr. Meidlinger, 1855 <br />Victoria to rezone Lot 5, Jordan Gardens from Residence A District to Residence <br />B District. He plans to have a three room apartment in his basement at ground level. <br />There being no opposition and the report of the Zoning Board be~ng favorable, <br />Membrez moved, seconded by Hammersten, that Lot 5, Jordan Gardens, be rezoned from <br />Residence A to Residence B District. Roll call Ayes-(5) Nayes-(O). <br />
