<br /> ROSEVILLE PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br />MEETING MINUTES FOR <br />MARCH 1, 2022 6:30 p.m. <br />PRESENT:Arneson, Baggenstoss, Boulton, Carlson,Dahlstrom,Heikkila, Hoag, <br />Lenhart, Ybarra <br />ABSENT: Brown <br />STAFF:Brokke, Christensen, Johnson <br />1) INTRODUCTIONS <br />Chair Hoag introduced the meeting and notedthat this month’s meeting was an in-person meeting <br />with a virtual option. In compliance with the city requirement of masking at city facilities, all in- <br />person meeting participants were wearing a face covering. The public was still encouraged to <br />participate in the meeting using the Zoom platform. <br /> <br />2) ROLL CALL/PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> <br />Roll Call Commissioners:Arneson, Baggenstoss, Boulton, Carlson, Dahlstrom, <br />Heikkila, Hoag, Lenhart, Ybarra. <br />Chair Hoag called for public comment by members of the audience. No audience were present. <br /> <br />3) APPROVAL OF MINUTES – FEBRUARY 3, 2022 MEETING <br /> <br />Commissioner Heikkila moved to approve the minutes. Commissioner Arneson seconds. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Arneson, Boulton, Dahlstrom, Heikkila, Hoag, Lenhart, Ybarra. <br />Nays: None. <br />Abstain: Baggenstoss. <br /> <br />4) REVIEW AND DISCUSS PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION GOALS <br />Staff provided a brief overview of the Commission goals from 2020. <br /> <br />Commissioner Lenhart proposed potentially adding the following goals: <br /> Expand on 2020 Goal #2. Are equitable services available? Are we meeting the needs of <br />all demographics? <br /> Focus on ways to get more children outdoors, particularly in lieu of the pandemic. <br /> How do we green our spaces? Specifically, focusing on native animal habitat and climate <br />change. <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />
