<br />VILLAGE OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the Village Council, April 13, 1964. <br /> <br />The Village Council met on the above date with the following mem- <br />bers present: Mayor Cedarholm, Trustees Curley, Goodrich, Grauel <br />and Shields, <br /> <br />Curley Moved, Goodrich Seconded, that the minutes of the regular <br />meeting of April 6, 1964, be approved. Roll Call, Ayes (5) - <br />Nays (0). <br /> <br />Grauel Moved, Goodrich Seconded, that the Council take the fol- <br />lowing action on the request made by Mr. Donut for variances and <br />proposed sign at 2087 No. Snelling Avenue: <br /> <br />1. That the Council grant the proposed thirty-foot variance <br />and setback along Snelling Avenue and the sign to be con- <br />structed in the center of the property on the east proper- <br />ty line as shown on the revised drawing, <br /> <br />2. That the Council require that the sign be limited to twenty- <br />five feet in height as required in the ordinance. <br /> <br />3. That the Council establish a maximum area of 150 square feet <br />for the sign in view of the existing non-conforming signs on <br />contiguous property. <br /> <br />Roll Call, Ayes (2) - Nays (3). Curley, Shields and Cedarholm voting <br />Nay. <br /> <br />Shields Moved, Curley Seconded, that as recommended by the Planning <br />Commission, the sign variance request by Mister Donut for a 234 square <br />foot sign, 30 feet in height, erected at the midpoint of the east <br />property line on the Mister Donut property at 2087 N. Snelling Avenue <br />be allowed. Roll Call, Ayes (3) - Nays (2). Goodrich and Grauel vo- <br />ting Nay. <br /> <br />Shields Moved, Grauel Seconded, that request by the Garley Construc- <br />tion Company for a special use permit for apartment development in a <br />Bl zone and zoning variances for 2 1/2 story buildings within 150' of <br />single family residential area and 800' shortage in density require- <br />ment at Rice and Elmer be approved with the condition that screening <br />as outlined by the Galilee Lutheran Church in a letter dated April 11, <br />1964, be installed. Roll Call, Ayes (5) - Nays (0). <br /> <br />Shields Moved, Grauel Seconded, that the Garley Construction Company <br />be issued a building permit for two apartment buildings at Elmer and <br />Rice Streets. Roll Call, Ayes (5) - Nays (0). <br /> <br />Curley Moved, Grauel Seconded, that the request by Thomas Bacig for <br />division of a lot at 711 Heinel Drive be referred to the Planning Com- <br />mission.
