<br />The City Council met on the above date with the folluwing
<br />members present: Acting Mayor Curley, Councilmen Hess, Anderson
<br />and Grauel" Absent: Mayor Demos,

<br />Acl Grauel Moved, Anderson Seconded, that the minutes of the regular
<br />meeting of August 9, 1976, be approved, Roll Call, Ayes: Hess,
<br />Anderson, Grauel and Curley, Nays: None"
<br />
<br />.A~ 2 Grauel Moved, Anderson Seconded, that the minutes of the speoal
<br />meeting of August 16, 1976, be amended to read:

<br />"Grauel Moved, Curley Seconded~ that the matter regCirding
<br />Public Improvement Projects 7 0 and 77.A be continued
<br />until the meeting of November 15, 1976, in order to give
<br />residents an opporttUli ty to petition for street improve
<br />ments and include the establishment of a Citizens' Connnittee
<br />consisting of ten persons, two persons appointed by each
<br />Councilman, charged with reviewing the need, cost figures,
<br />criteria for exclusion, timetable, if any, modification of
<br />standards and consideration of applicants for improved
<br />streets, Roll Call, Ayes: Hess, Anderson, Curley, Grauel
<br />and Demos 0 "

<br />Mayor in declaring September 8, 1976, as National Cancer Day,

<br />B"l Anderson ~ved, Hess Seconded, that MichelsConstruction Company
<br />request for final plat approval "Michels Lake Park" at 2500
<br />North Hamline Avenue be continued until the meeting of September
<br />13, 19760 Roll Call, Ayes: Hess, Anderson, Grauel and Curley,
<br />Nays: None,

<br />B2 Grauel Moved, Anderson Seconded, that Normandale Tennis Club,
<br />lne request for special use permit and variances to setbacks
<br />and lot coverage at 1707 County Road B~ 2 be approved with the
<br />condition that drainage, landscaping, berming and grading plans
<br />meet the approval of the City Planner and Public Works Director,
<br />Roll Call, Ayes: Hess, Anderson, Grauel and Curley, Nays: None,
<br />
<br />E 1 Hess Moved, Anderson Seconded, that Mr, AI Hanson~ s request to
<br />amend City Ordinance regarding parking requirements in shopping
<br />center district be referred to the Planning Commission for review
<br />and reconnnendationo Roll Call, Ayes: Hess, Anderson, Grauel and
<br />Curley 0 Nays: None,

<br />E~2 Hess MJved, Anderson Seconded, that J. Co Penney I 5 request
<br />for a temporary sign to advertise the future store being con
<br />structed at the Rosedale Shopping Center be approved with a
<br />limitation that it not exceed August 1, 1977, Roll Call, Ayes:
<br />Hess, Anderson, Grauel and Curley, Nays: None.
