<br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Regular meeting of the City Council - August 27, 1990. <br /> <br />The City Council met on the above date with the following <br />members present: Maschka, Cushman, Thomas, and Rog. <br />Members absent: Johnson. <br /> <br />7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> <br />A representative from the Chamber of Commerce introduced Joel Meyer, the <br />slogan contest winner, who was presented a certificate by Mayor Rog for the <br />winning slogan: "Roseville--where people make the difference." <br /> <br />A. <br />A-I <br /> <br />B. <br />B-1 <br /> <br />B-2 <br /> <br />B-3 <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />Cushman moved, Maschka seconded, that the minutes of <br />the regular meeting of August 13, 1990 be approved. <br />Roll Call, Ayes: Maschka, Cushman, Thomas, and Rog. <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />Cushman moved, Maschka seconded, that the minutes of <br />the special meeting of August 21, 1990 be approved. <br />Roll Call, Ayes: Maschka, Cushman, Thomas, and Rog. <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />Thomas moved, Maschka seconded, that Resolution 8593, <br />"Code of Ethics for Public Officials in the City of <br />Roseville" be amended by changing section 3J to read <br />as follows: <br /> <br />"Givinq Anvthinq of Value. No elected public official <br />shall give anything of value to potential voters in <br />return for their votes, promises, or financial consid- <br />erations which would be prohibited by the Minnesota <br />Fair Campaign Practices statute." <br /> <br />Roll Call, Ayes: Maschka, Cushman, Thomas, and Rog. <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />Thomas moved, Maschka seconded, that the Roseville <br />community Band request for a Temporary on Sale Liquor <br />License for the Central Park Roundup, to be held on <br />September 22, 1990, be approved. Roll Call, Ayes: <br />Maschka, Cushman, Thomas, and Rog. Nays: None. <br /> <br />Thomas moved, Maschka seconded, that the following <br />blanket minor variance requests, in accordance with <br />the City's policies concerning minor variances for <br />driveway side yard setbacks, be approved: <br /> <br />1. Richard Brynteson request for a three foot <br />variance at 2059 Hand Avenue. <br /> <br />2.
