<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA, HELD JULY 17 I 1964 <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of <br />the Village Council of the Village of Roseville, Minnesota, was duly <br />called and held at the Village Hall in said Village on the 17th day of <br />July, 1964 at 8:00 a. m. The following members were present: <br /> <br />Mayor Cedarholm; and <br />Trustees Graul and Shields; <br /> <br />and the following members were absent: <br /> <br />Trustees Curley and Goodrich. <br /> <br />Member Shields introduced the following ReS) lution and moved <br />its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO.IOOl <br /> <br />WHEREAS, by Resolution adopted by the Village of Roseville <br />on December 20, 1955 and amended by Resolution No. 213 adopted <br />September 13, 1958 and further amended by Resolution No. 372 adopted <br />August 16, 1960, the Roseville Water Company was given a franchise <br />to lay mains and distribute water within a certain area within the <br />Village of Roseville; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS I by the terms of said franchise, the Roseville Water <br />Company was obligated to erect fire hydrants as recommended and <br />approved by the Board of Fire Underwriters; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on the 29th day of April, 1964, the Village Council <br />of the Village of Roseville notified the Roseville Water Company that <br />said obligation of the franchise was not being met by the Roseville Water <br />Company; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Village Council has been advised by competent <br />consulting engineers that the water supply owned by the Roseville Water <br />Company is not adequate to facilitate their system, and that the present <br />system of the Roseville Water Company as it now exists does not meet <br />the requirements of the area being served by the Roseville Water Company; <br />and <br />
