<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />OF ROSEVILLE, HELD ON DECEMBER 14, 1964 <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the <br />Village Council of the Village of Roseville, Minnesota was duly called and <br />held at the Village Hall in said Village on Monday, December 14, 1964, at <br />7:30 P.M. The following members were present: <br />Mayor Cedarholm, Trustees Goodrich, Grauel and Shields <br /> <br />and the following absent: Trustee Curley <br /> <br />Member Shields <br />moved its adoption. <br /> <br />introduced the fo llowing resolution and <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1122 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Ramsey County League of Municipalities on October 28, <br />1964, adopted a resolution directing their sewer committee to prepare a <br />study of a northeast sanitary sewer district including the City of St. Paul; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The Minnesota legislature in Laws of Minnesota, 1963, <br />Chapter 882, directed the Minneapolis - St. Paul Sanitary District to <br />adopt a comprehensive plan for the collection, treatment and disposal of <br />sewage to be submitted to the Water Pollution Control Commission, and <br />further directed that the Water Pollution Control Commission hold a public <br />hearing on the proposed plan and issue a report; <br /> <br />lI'HEREAS, on December 4, 1964, the Water Pollution Control Commission <br />announced that its staff would be directed to prepare a report approving <br />the engineering portion of the Minneapolis - St. Paul Sanitary District <br />report and recommending the creation of a sanitary sewer district to cover <br />the entire metropolitan area to be served; <br /> <br />\"ltIEREAS, a comprehensive report for sewerage facilities prepared by <br />the City of St. Paul pursuant to the above laws excludes the Village of <br />Roseville from the tributary area of the sewerage facilities proposed in <br />the aforementioned report; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL of the <br />Village of Roseville, Minnesota, that: <br /> <br />1) The Ramsey County League of Municipalities be urged to support the <br />formation of a sanitary district comprised of the entire area <br />presently and potentially tributary to the Minneapolis-St. Paul <br />Sanitary District Disposal Plant in the 1965 session of the <br />Minnesota State Legislature as the most rational and equitable <br />method of providing sanitary sewer service in the metropolitan <br />area; <br />
