<br />Roseville Planning Commission Meeting <br />Wednesday, April 1, 1970 <br /> <br />The regular Planning Commission meeting of April 1, 1970, was called to order at 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />Commission Members Present: Johnson, Kellett, Demos, Edlund, Pope, Eagles, Chairman <br />Memb re z <br />Others Present: Councilman Grauel, Consultant Planner Geisler, Public Works <br />Director Goldberg, Inspection Superintendent Kluegel <br /> <br />Commission Members Absent: None <br /> <br />Edlund Moved, Kellett Seconded, that the minutes of the March 4, 1970 meeting be approved. <br />Roll Call, Ayes: Kellett, Demos, Edlund, Pope, Eagles, Membrez. Nays: None. <br />Abstention: Johnson (because he was absent from the meeting). <br /> <br />P}annin$ File 564-70 - Mort Huber' request for rezoning from R-I and R-2 to R-3 and from <br />B-1 to B-3 at 700 West County Road B <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Chairman Membrez suggested that the Planning Commission could take action on the rezoning <br />for the apartment building and then this could be tied up as a package with the special <br />use permit for the balance of the commercial property to be developed. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner, associated with Apache Engineering Company, spoke in behalf of Mr. Mort Huber. <br />He stated they have applied for the special use permit for the planned unit development <br />in a business district under the new ordinance passed by the Village Council. They would <br />like action on the multiple part of the project so that they would not be delayed on this <br />part. The multiple and business could then go to the Council at the same time. <br /> <br />No one from the ~ldience spoke in opposition to the proposal. <br /> <br />The public hearing was then declared closed. <br /> <br />Reconunendat ion <br /> <br />Ke llett Moved, Demos Seconded, that we recommend that the request by Mort Huber for re- <br />zoning from R-l and R-2 to R-3 at 700 West County Road B be approved. Roll Call, Ayes: <br />Johnson, Kellett, Demos, Edlund, Pope, Eagles, Membrez. Nays: None. <br /> <br />Planning File 528-69 - Standard Oil Company request for a division of a lot and special <br />use permit at 2441 North Fairview Avenue <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Mr. Bell, Attorney for Standard Oil, appeared to present their proposal. He presented a <br />plan showing the building, elevations, and showed samples of the red brick and feather- <br />stone which they propose to use on the exterior of the building. He stated that they had <br />approval from the Ramsey County Engineer's office for the location of the driveways on <br />Fairview and on County Road B-2. He presented a plan which indicated the locations of these <br />driveways. The driveway on Fairview would be setback 40 feet from the south property line <br />and the driveway on B-2 would be set back 30 feet from the east property line. There would <br />also be an additional driveway on Fairview and an additional driveway on B-2. <br /> <br />Mr. Membrez stated that Mr. Dahlgren's report was more favorable on this plan than the one <br />previously submitted. <br />
