<br />City of Roseville <br />Variance Board Minutes <br />Wednesday, May 5, 2006 <br />Call to Order: <br />1. <br />Chair Bakeman called the May 5, 2006 regular meeting of the City of Roseville <br />Variance Board to order at 5:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall. <br />2. Roll Call: <br />Present: Bakeman, Boerigter, Doherty <br />Absent: None <br />Staff Present: City Planner Thomas Paschke, Associate Planner Bryan Lloyd, and <br />Assistant Public Works Director Deb Bloom <br />3. a) Approval of Minutes: <br /> Member Boerigter made a motion, seconded by <br />Member Doherty, to approve the minutes of the February 2, 2006 Variance Board <br />meeting. By unanimous consent the Board approved the meeting minutes, as <br />submitted. <br /> Ayes: 3 <br /> Nays: 0 <br /> Motion carried. <br />b) Communications from the Public: <br />None <br />4. Public Hearings: <br />a.PLANNING FILE 3719: <br /> Request by KPERS Realty Holding #41 <br />VARIANCE <br />(Welsh Companies) for a to Section 1009 (Sign <br />Regulations) to allow the placement of a ground sign within the required <br />15 foot setback adjacent to County Road C. This request seeks amendment <br />of a previously approved VARIANCE (12/01/04) for property at 1601 – <br />1677 County Road C. <br /> <br />Chair Bakeman opened the hearing and requested that City Planner Thomas Paschke <br />provide a verbal summary of the project report dated May 5, 2006. <br />Welsh Companies, in cooperation with KPERS Realty Holding #41, Inc. (property <br />owner), seeks an additional (amended) VARIANCE to allow the installation of a <br />freestanding ground sign 3½ feet from the permanent roadway easement adjacent to the <br />County Road C right-of-way. <br />KPERS did receive 6 sign VARIANCES in 2004 to allow height, size and location <br />deviations for three freestanding signs on the premises.
