<br />EXTRACT OF MINtTI'ES OF ~ETING OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF <br />ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA, HELD JANUARY 29, 1968 <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular <br />meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Roseville, <br />Minnesota, was duly called and held at the Village Hall in said <br />Village on January 29, 1968, at 7:30 p.m. The following members <br />were present: <br /> <br />Mayor Moll, Councilmen Curley, Grauel, Shields and Linebarger <br /> <br />and the following members were absent: None <br /> <br />Member Grauel introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2012 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Laws 1967, Chapter 896 establishes a <br />Metropolitan Council with jurisdiction in the following counties: <br />Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott and Washington, <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the power of the Metropolitan Council in the <br />aforesaid seven counties is as follows: <br /> <br />a) To suspend the operation of any long term <br />co~rehensive plan of any independent commission, <br />Doard or agency which plan is prepared for the operation <br />of development within the metropolitan area, if such <br />plan is determined by the Council to have an area wide <br />effect. This gurisdiction over independent commissions <br />and boards or agencies of the metropolitan areas does <br />not include any plan of the sanitary sewer district <br />operating within the metropolitan area which pertains <br />to the location of construction of sewer plants. <br /> <br />b) Receive all long term co~rehensive plans of each <br />city, village, borougn and town WhlCh lies within the <br />metropolitan area (seven counties mentioned above) and <br />notify the other cities, villages, boroughs, towns, <br />counties or special districts which may be affected by <br />the plans and hold public hearings thereon at the request <br />of any party. The Council if further directed to attempt <br />to mediate and resolve the difference of opinion which <br />exists among the participants in the hearings with respect <br />to the plans submitted. <br />
