EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />VARIANCE BOARD OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Variance Board of the City of <br />Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was held on the 4`h day of May, 2005, at 5:00 p.m. <br />The following members were present: Chair Bakeman and Members Pust, Doherty, and <br />Boerigter <br />Variance Board Member Boerigter introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />VB RESOLUTION N0.16 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING VARIANCES TO SECTION 1004 OF THE OF THE <br />ROSEVILLE CITY CODE FOR ANDREW DACHTERA, <br />732 GRANDVIEW AVENUE (PF3637) <br />WHEREAS, Andrew Dachtera has requested VARIANCES to Section 1004 (Maximum <br />Total Surface Area & Residential Dimensional Requirements -Front Yard Setback) of the <br />Roseville City Code to allow a house and attached garage addition; and <br />WHEREAS, this property is addressed as 732 Grandview Avenue, and legally described <br />as <br />Lot 8, Block 2, Arbell <br />PIN I1-29-23-41-0025 <br />WHEREAS, Section 1004.OIA6 (Maximum Total Surface Area) limits single family <br />residential parcels to a 30% maximum coverage; and <br />WHEREAS, the proposal by Mr. Dachtera includes impervious coverage (upon <br />completion of improvements) of 3,389 or 33.4%, which total exceeds the allowable lot coverage <br />by 341 sq. ft.; and <br />WHEREAS, Section 1004.016 (Residential Dimensional Requirements -Front Yard <br />Setback) requires a minimum front yard setback of 30 feet; and <br />WHEREAS, the proposal by Mr. Dachtera indicates an encroachment of 18 feet into the required <br />setback; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Planner has concluded that "hardships" are present and support can <br />be given to deviate from the strict requirements of the Roseville City Code; <br />
