Also present were Mr. James Andre, City Manager; Robert Bell, city attorney; Charles Honchell, City Public vvorks Director; and Peter S. Popovich, city bond consultant. MAYOR LINEBARGER: The second hearing is on Improvement SS-W-P-74-12 on Burke Avenue from Fernwood Avenue to Dellwood Avenue installing bituminous surfacing, concrete cu.rb and gutter, watermain, sanitary sewer, drainage and necessary appurtenances. I will ask the Manager to present the legal notices. MR . ,ANDRE : I have the Affidavit of Publica tion and Certificate of Mailing for Improvement SS-W-P-74-l2. MAYOR LINEBARGER: At this point I would like to ask, are there people interested in this particu~r matter? I will ask Mr. Honchell to present a summary of the nature of the im- provement and the area involved and the cost estimate. MR. HONCHELL: This is for the proposed construction of curb and gutter, street seven ton design including the necessary utilities on Burke Avenue from Dellwood to Fernwood. There is a starn sewer that already exists, but the other utilities would have to be constructed. It's anticipated that the small lots would be combined into larger lots and (inaudible) This appears to be a very feasible undertaking and would open this area up for development. To my knowledge, no one has objected to the proposal. This is a petitioned project.
