<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF ROSEVILLEt MINNESOTA - HELD MARCH 13t 1978 <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of <br /> <br />the City Council of the City of Rosevi11e, Ramsey County, Minnesota, on <br /> <br />MondaYt the 13th day of March, 1978, at 7:30 0'c10ck P.M. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Mayor Demost Council <br />Members Curley, Anderson, Franke and Kehr <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Member Anderson <br />and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution <br /> <br />Resolution No. 6620 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RELATING TO TWO BICYCLE PATH GRANTS FROM <br />THE STATE OF MINNESOTA FOR CONSTRUCTION ON <br />COUNTY ROAD C <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the 1977 Minnesota Legislature passed the Omnibus <br />Outdoor Recreation Actt including the appropriation of $700,000.00 for local <br />bicycle trail grants to units of government 1n the metropolitan area, and <br />WHEREAS, two grant applications by the City of Rosevi1le for <br />constructing a bikeway'faci1ity on two portions of County Road C received <br />high priority ratings and the grant offert and <br />WHEREAS, said grant offers would provide for 75% of the construction <br />costs of the improvement, and <br />WHEREAS, said improvement is in keeping with the city bicycle trail <br />program and would improve the safety of the bicyclists in the community. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Roseville authorizes <br />the Mayor and Manager to enter into an agreement with the State of Minnesota <br />that would result in receiving 75% of the construction funds for constructing <br />bicycle paths on County Road C between Lexington and Hamline Avenues; and on <br />County Road C between Victoria Street and Terrace Drive. with the city pledging <br />the following: <br />
