• Adminis�ers #h� City payroll system. Includes the estahlishmenf of direct deposits, <br />accruafs for �acation and sick ieaue, and recur�-ing entries for deductions and <br />benefits. {Re�iews employer benefits and employee deductions.) <br />• Processes Public Employee Retirement Associafion {PERA) deductions and files <br />deduct�onlbenefit reports as well as the demogra�hic changes. Produces and files <br />the annual PERA exceptions report. <br />• Pro�ides customer seruice to employees wi�h questions related #o pay, deductions, <br />benefits, and lea�e accruals. <br />• Upda�es the HRIPR system with new pay and benefit rate changes and coordina�es <br />with Human Resources, the disbursement and t�pdating of informatian rela#ed to <br />the Benefit Enrollmeni Form, which is processed annually with benefit, insurance, <br />HSA, and flexib[e spending amount changes. <br />• Processes W-2's and 1099's. <br />• Complefies financial information on employment verifications and verifies <br />unemployment notices. <br />• Produce payrall reports. <br />• Creates and updates forms, as necessary, to aid in #t�e collection of financ�al <br />related data. <br />• Maintains the confiden�ial nature relat�d to payroll and emp[oyee benef�ts. <br />• PerForms a[I other related duties and responsibilities as may be required. <br />QUALEFICATION REQUIREMENTS <br />To perForm this job successfully, an indi�idual must be able to perForm each essentiaf duty <br />satisfac�orily. Reasonable accommoda�ions may be made to enable indi�iduals <br />with disabilities to pe�form the essential functions. <br />EDUCATI4N andlor EXPERIENCE <br />Minimum Requirements: <br />• Four-year degree ir� Accounting, Finance, or a relaied field; or two-year accounting <br />degree plus three years experience in accounting/payroll. <br />• Experience constructing complex spreadsheets (MS Excel preferred). <br />Desired Qualificafions <br />: Four-year degree in Accounting. <br />• One year or more experience with integrated payroll system. <br />• One year or more experience analyzing general ledger accounts and preparing <br />journal entries. � <br />• One year or more preparing audit work papers. <br />• Advanced knowledge of spreadshee# and database applica�ions (tables, complex <br />formulas, database creafion). <br />• Go�ernmental accounting experience. <br />
