ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL—January 10, 2011 13 <br /> 8.A. Mn/DOT I-6941TH 51 Improvement Project—Appeal Board Appointee (continued) <br /> Councilmember Holmes asked if there was a way that a joint meeting with Ramsey County, <br /> Mn/DOT and the City Council could be arranged. <br /> Councilmember Holden stated having a meeting involving Ramsey County could answer several <br /> of the questions the City has and might allow the City more clarity regarding what items they <br /> could press for from Mn/DOT. <br /> Mayor Grant stated meeting with Ramsey County would help the City prepare for the panel but <br /> at this time the panel will be making the final decision. Ramsey County could provide good <br /> background information for Mr. Harpstead. He stated a work session involving Ramsey County <br /> and Mr. Harpstead should be arranged. <br /> City Administrator Klaers stated Public Works Director Maurer would be able to update the <br /> Council regarding conversations he has had with Ramsey County and Mn/DOT at the January 18 <br /> work session. - <br /> Councilmember Holden suggested getting Representative Kate Knuth and Senator Barb <br /> Goodwin involved and setting up a meeting with them as well. She also suggested a <br /> representative from Ramsey County be at the work session on Tuesday with Public Works <br /> Director Maurer. <br /> Mayor. Grant stated Staff would arrange a work session with those people requested to the extent <br /> possible given the late date. <br /> MOTION: Councilmember Holden moved and Councilmember Holmes seconded a <br /> motion to Appoint Stan Harpstead to the Mn/DOT Appeal Board for the I- <br /> 694/TH51 Improvement Project. The motion carried unanimously (4-0). <br /> 9. COUNCIL COMMENTS AND STAFF UPDATES <br /> Councilmember Werner thanked City Administrator Klaers and the City Staff for the orientation <br /> meetings that they had prepared. <br /> Councilmember Holden asked when the City would be holding the 2011 PMP Project Open <br /> House. <br /> City Administrator Klaers stated he would forward this information to the Council. <br /> Councilmember Holmes stated she had met Ramsey County Sheriff Matt Bostrom and he would <br /> be willing to meet with the City. She requested City Administrator Klaers to schedule a meeting <br /> with him. <br /> City Administrator Klaers stated he had sent available work session dates to Sheriff Bostrom <br /> and is waiting for his reply. <br />
