tra�c if the City finds that the lighting is not in conformance with the <br />approved Master PUD. <br />19. {Added) The ring road shall be maintained as a one way road. <br />20. {Added} Traffic calming measures shall be implemented an the ring road, <br />subjec# to City Staff approvaI, these shal� include, but not be limited to, road <br />striping that designates the eastern four feet of pavement as a bike lane, <br />narrowing �he d�virag surface of the road to 16 feet_ <br />21. {Added) A minimum of 50 percent of the tree buffer be installed in Arden <br />Hills before construction is started. <br />C�air Larson inquired about examples of traffic calming measures. Ms. Beekrnan <br />stated that there hasn't been an agreem�ent on the type of traff c calrt�ing measures, <br />but zt could inciude road b�zmps, speed bumps, different colared pavement, ar <br />special painting. <br />Chair Larson opened the floor to Commission questions. <br />Commissioner Holewa stated the area of concern is the area north of the park�ng <br />area. He stated he thinks the area of concentration for the traffic rr�ovement <br />should be at that point_ <br />Ms. Beekxr�an stated that she thi�ks there is a stop sign proposed for that corner. <br />Tom Manr3ing, Project Manager and Engineer for Bonestroo, demonstrated the <br />location of the proposed stop sign. He stated mos� of the traf�c will be generated <br />near the parking lots and the traffic flowing to the north will be minimized. <br />Com�nissioner Stodola inquired about the reason traffie would flow to t�e north. <br />Mr. Manning stated it would be to go to other buildings. He stated there are <br />additional buildings proposed to the north. <br />Comrr�issioner Stodola inyuired if it wauld be primarily for err�ergency vehicles_ <br />Chair Larson stated that there will be a need foz- delivery vehicles and emergency <br />vehicles. <br />Bria� Humphries, AVP of Facility Operations and Planning for Northwestern <br />College, stated that geop�e wiIl talce the ring road to get to additional parking, the <br />library, and other bui�dings. <br />Commissioner Holewa inq�tired if t�e ring road wou�d be the only way to get to <br />the }ihrary. Mr. Humphries stated that it would be. <br />Chair Larson sfa�ed that diagam C� shows the overai] view of the campus. <br />
