ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL — August 8, 2011 8
7.B. State of the City Event (continued)
Mayor Grant stated he would like to change the Viking Stadium Proposal to include a discussion
on TCAAP as well. The stadium is only a portion of the TCAAP property.
Councilmember Holden suggested any additional advertising include the location within North
Heights Church since there are many different areas within the building. She also suggested signs
be made thanking those businesses that donated to the Celebrating Arden Hills event and that
these be placed at the State of the City event.
Councilmember Holmes stated there were several development areas in the City such as the old
City Hall site and Traverse properties and these could be included in the B -2 District topic. The presentation on TCAAP and the Vikings Stadium would take more than 10 minutes.
She suggested including a discussion about the parks and trails.
Councilmember Tamble agreed that a presentation on the City's parks and trails and future trail
plans would be a good topic to include.
Community Development Director Hutmacher stated the discussion regarding the redesign of
the City's website could be included with the presentation on City management. The
Communications Committee has been working on an online survey and they would like to
promote this during the State of the City event.
Mayor Grant asked if there would be other visual materials at the event beyond the presentations
for people to look at and review.
Community Development Director Hutmacher stated other visual materials could be prepared
for the event.
Mayor Grant clarified the event would be open to the public as well as the business community.
Councilmember Tamble suggested the City have a couple of maps prepared for the event
including the parks and trails system and possible road improvement maps.
