MINUTES OF A MEETING OF THE JURISDICTIONS <br /> THAT CONTRACT WITH THE RAMSEY COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT <br /> FOR POLICE SERVICES <br /> MAY 17, 2012 <br /> The meeting was called to order at 8:02 a.m., at the Ramsey County Sheriff's <br /> Department Patrol Station Conference Room, 1411 Paul Kirkwold Drive, Arden <br /> Hills. <br /> The Following members were present: <br /> • George Altendorfer, Ramsey County Sheriff's Department <br /> • Matt Bostrom, Ramsey County Sheriff <br /> • Joel Hanson, City of Little Canada <br /> • Sue Iverson, City of Arden Hills <br /> • Jan Reagan, White Bear Township <br /> • Mike Salter, Ramsey County Sheriff's Department <br /> • Terry Schwerm, City of Shoreview <br /> • Jack Serier, Ramsey County Sheriff's Department <br /> • Bill Short, White Bear Township / Gem Lake <br /> • Gerry Urban, City of Vadnais Heights <br /> APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> The agenda was approved with the deletion of Item #6 — First Quarter Crime <br /> Statistics. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> The April 19, 2012, Minutes of the Jurisdictions that Contract with the Ramsey <br /> County Sheriff's Department for Police Services, were approved. <br /> GEORGIE SCHULTE — INSURANCE UPDATE <br /> Georgie Schulte distributed a loss information report. She stated that 2006 was <br /> the "bad insurance year" for the Patrol Department, however, she noted that a <br /> turnaround has taken place during the last several years, and that it is now <br /> within budget. She stated that there are currently only seven open claims. <br /> Ms. Schulte reported that there was a total of six Tort Liability claims. She noted <br /> that the dog incident claim that occurred in 2009 for $125,000, has been closed. <br /> Ms. Schulte reported that there is a total of $45,393 in Workers' Compensation <br /> reserves for 2013; a total of $71,890 in Auto Liability Reserves; and a total of <br /> $40,058 in Tort Liability reserves. <br />
