PULLED CONSENT ITEMS <br /> None. <br /> 7. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> None. <br /> 8. NEW BUSINESS <br /> A. Lift Station#1 and#12 Reconstruction Bids <br /> Public Works Director Maurer stated back in January staff was discussing improvements <br /> needed to the City's lift stations. The Council gave staff direction to take bids for Lift Station#1 <br /> and #12. These lift stations were slated for reconstruction in 2013, however the bidding <br /> environment was such that the City could benefit from moving this work up one year. <br /> Public Works Director Maurer indicated the lift stations were sent out for bid with pumps and <br /> controls provided by the City. This would assure the proper equipment was installed in each lift <br /> station. The City received four bids with the low bidder being Magney Construction with a bid of <br /> $266,800. An additional $100,118 would be spent on pumps and controls for the two lift stations. <br /> Public Works Director Maurer noted an alternate bid item was added to the bid proposal for the <br /> force main replacement at Lift Station #12, which was an additional $24,820. The City had <br /> budgeted $410,000 for this project and the estimated total project costs, including $26,000 for <br />
