The ceremony would include dedication of the Don <br />Messerly Picnic Shelter. <br /> <br />Budget: <br />Cost for this event would be minimal for supplies <br />Staff Time: <br />Minimal and event management <br /> <br />Event Option 1.B: <br />-Opening Ceremony (Summer, 2013) <br /> <br />This may be an opportunity to utilize the grand re-opening as a reason to hold a smaller <br />tures in a specific park. <br />Once the play structures were all replaced, the event continued as an annual park event <br />but was held at one of our bigger parks (Cummings, Perry or Hazelnut). The budget <br />ranged from $2,000 for the smaller parks to $5,000 for the bigger parks, depending on the <br />site and events. Activities were held from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on a Saturday. <br />Events varied and included such things as: Petting zoo, soccer clinic, K-9 demos, booths <br />from the PTRC, magicians, scavenger hunt, face painters, caricaturists, d.j., fire <br />be a new trail from the Crystal/Glenview neighborhoods, on street parking would be <br />available.
