CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> MEMORANDUM <br /> DATE: October 18, 1995 <br /> TO: Economic Development Committee <br /> FROM: Kevin Ringwald, Community Development Director <br /> SUBJECT: GBD/TCAAP Updates <br /> Gateway Business District <br /> The Staff is currently attempting to negotiate with Ramsey County (Public Works) and the State <br /> of Minnesota(MnDOT) on conducting a traffic study on the impacts and required traffic <br /> improvements for Round Lake Road and Highway 96 so as to facilitate the development of the <br /> Gateway Business District (GBD). <br /> As previously discussed, the Staff is currently working with Hom Oak and Leather on adjusting <br /> their proposed facility, so that it is compatible to the City vision and also meet their business <br /> requirements. <br /> Staff is attaching to this memorandum the zoning district standards (Exhibit A) and site <br /> information(Exhibit B) on the GBD. Staff will be discussing these items in further detail with <br /> . the Committee at the meeting. <br /> Twin Cities Army Ammunition Plant <br /> The TCAAP Re-utilization Committee (Vento Committee)has completed its review process on <br /> the re-use of the TCAAP site. Essentially, the Vento Committee accepted the recommendations <br /> of the Arden Hills Task Force, in regards to Developable/Open Space areas and the <br /> recommended acreages for the specific land uses within the developable area. The Staff is <br /> pleased that this level of consensus was able to be achieved from two very groups which <br /> contained very diverse interests. The Staff has attached to this memorandum the Arden Hills <br /> Task Force Plan (Exhibit C) and the Vento Committee Plan(Exhibit D). The Staff will be <br /> discussing where we go from here (hopefully), in further detail with the Committee at the <br /> meeting. <br /> s <br />
