ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL—AUGUST 26, 2013 3 <br /> 5. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> A. Motion to Approve Consent Agenda Item- Claims and Payroll <br /> B. Motion to Approve Payment #3 to North Valley, Inc., in the Amount of <br /> $382,427.36 for the 2013 Pavement Management Program <br /> MOTION: Councilmember Holmes moved and Councilmember Holden seconded a <br /> motion to approve the Consent Calendar as presented and to authorize <br /> execution of all necessary documents contained therein. The motion carried <br /> unanimously (5-0). <br /> 6. PULLED CONSENT ITEMS <br /> None. <br /> 7. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> A. Abatement Hearing for 1423 Colleen Avenue <br /> Community Development Director Hutmacher stated that a notice regarding a code <br /> enforcement issue has been sent to the owner of the property located at 1423 Colleen Avenue. <br /> Staff explained that the code enforcement violations have not been resolved. There was an error <br /> in the manner in which the property owner was notified of the code enforcement issue. For that <br /> reason, the issue will have another public hearing scheduled for September 9, 2013. In the <br /> meantime, staff will be in contact with the property owner to try and bring the property into <br /> voluntary compliance. <br /> Mayor Grant opened the public hearing at 7:26 p.m. <br /> With no one coming forward to speak, Mayor Grant closed the public hearing at 7:27 p.m. <br /> 8. NEW BUSINESS <br /> A. Consider Purchase of Two Toro "Zero-Turn" Mowers <br /> This item was removed from the agenda and will be discussed at a future work session. <br /> 9. UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> None. <br /> 10. COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> Councilmember Werner stated that he attended the Flaherty's 75th Anniversary last week. He <br /> commented that Flaherty's is the oldest family run bowling alley in the country. <br /> Councilmember Holden asked if Item 8A was time-sensitive in terms of the quote received. <br />
