ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION MARCH 31, 20147 <br /> <br />fee is used to pay regional sewer capital costs. When buildings are demolished, municipalities <br />may apply for SAC credits based on the previous use or the amount of SAC previously paid. The <br />City of Arden Hills has received SAC credits for buildings demolished on TCAAP, and City <br />Council direction on the use of SAC credits is requested. <br /> <br />Future Meeting Schedule. Future discussion topics for upcoming regular and special work session <br />meetings have been tentatively identified in the attached memo. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Maurer <br /> provided the Council with a brief update on the Infrastructure <br />Study. He noted that the County was finalizing the RFP and it would be sent out later this week. <br />st <br />The hope would be to have proposals returned by May 1. The proposals would be reviewed by a <br />th <br />committee on May 5 and the committee wanted to have a decision for the Council to consider on <br />th <br />May 12. Staff discussed in further detail the items that would be included in the RFP. <br /> <br />Mayor Grant <br /> requested further information on the timeline for the RFP. <br /> <br />Heather Worthington <br />, Ramsey County, discussed the proposed RFP timeline with the Council. <br />She did not believe the three week timeline was a concern. <br /> <br />City Administrator Klaers <br /> questioned when the City would have more information on the cost <br />sharing. <br /> <br />th <br />Public Works Director Maurer <br /> believed that the City would have this information by May 12. <br />He further discussed the utility items that would be covered by the City. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holmes <br /> asked if the City had to cover 100% of the water, sanitary sewer and <br />private utility expenses. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Maurer <br /> stated that the City would pay no expenses for private utilities. <br />The City would be responsible for 100% of the water and sanitary expenses. He noted that the <br />City and County have agreed to share costs for storm sewer and water resource issues. The cost <br />sharing for these would be further defined after the proposals were received. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holmes <br /> questioned who would be paying for the spine road. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Maurer <br /> noted that this expense would be fully covered by the County. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holden <br /> inquired how the regional storm water feature would be defined. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Maurer <br /> stated that this was a topic for an upcoming Council work <br />session on TCAAP. <br /> <br />Mayor Grant <br /> recommended that the Council move onto a discussion regarding the SAC credits. <br /> <br />City Administrator Klaers <br /> reviewed a memo he drafted regarding the SAC credits.
