The project will include 730 square feet of impervious surface <br />with zero net increase since the construction replaces an existing paved area. <br />3.Landscaping Requirements– <br />Meets requirement <br />Since the proposalincludes additional building space, the City’s landscaping requirements apply <br />(Zoning Code, 1325.05 Subd. 1 Landscaping). The minimum landscape requirements are <br />determined based on the gross square footage of new building space. In this case, the applicant <br />would be required to provide 2.3caliper inches of trees (730square feet/ 320 = 2.3). Boston <br />Scientific has proposed planting oneBlack Hills Spruce treetotaling 2.5 caliper inches on the <br />east side of Innovation Way near the CummingsPark Drive turnaround. <br />4.Aesthetics – <br />Meets requirement <br />The exterior finish of the addition will be face brick with color andcoursing to match the <br />existingconstruction.
