ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL—MAY 12, 2014 3 <br /> July 14, 2014, Regular Work Session at 5:00 pm, Council Chambers <br /> Discussion topics to be determined (infrastructure, regulations and policies, etc.) <br /> July 21, 2014, Special Work Session at 5:30 pm, Community Room <br /> • Discussion topics to be determined(infrastructure, regulations and policies, etc.) <br /> July 28, 2014, Regular Meeting at 7:00 pm, Council Chambers <br /> • Approve Final AUAR and Mitigation Plan <br /> Staff anticipated that additional regular and special work session meetings will be scheduled to <br /> discuss TCAAP issues. Future meeting topics will be defined as those dates draw nearer. <br /> B. Transportation Update <br /> Public Works Director Maurer provided the Council with a transportation update noting that <br /> MnDOT will be completing concrete repair on 1-694 near I-35W. He stated that the County is <br /> planning a mill and overlay project on Hamline Avenue for the end of May. He indicated that the <br /> Highway 10/County Road 96 project has been delayed due to the weather. With reasonable <br /> weather, he anticipates this project will be done at the end of June. <br /> Councilmember McClung expressed frustration that the Highway 10/County Road 96 <br /> intersection is still not completed. <br /> Public Works Director Maurer explained that he will convey this message to the County. <br /> Councilmember Holden requested that staff speak with the County further about the timing of <br /> their upcoming projects in the City of Arden Hills. She did not want to see all three major <br /> projects be completed in the same year as this will greatly impact traffic movement in the City. <br /> Public Works Director Maurer indicated that he will address this concern with the County and <br /> will report back to the Council at a future work session. <br /> Mayor Grant recommended that staff draft a letter to the County regarding the Council's <br /> concerns with the proposed bridge outings and reconstruction projects planned for 2015. <br /> C. Community Cleanup Day Update <br /> City Planner Streff stated that the community cleanup day event is scheduled for Saturday, May <br /> 17th from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. It will be held at the Ramsey County Public Works Facility at <br /> 1425 Paul Kirkwold Drive. The event is co-sponsored by the Cities of Arden Hills and Shoreview <br /> and open to residents of both cities. <br /> City Planner Streff commented that unlike previous cleanup events, the City is offering a free <br /> cleanup day as a pilot program to minimize wait times. Participants will not have to pay additional <br /> fees based on the amount or type of items being dropped off. Participants should remember to <br /> bring their IDs. The Salvation Army will also be on site collecting any items that are salvageable <br />
