Ramsey County Parks and <br /> Recreation just completed a trail from Tony Schmidt Regional Park under the <br /> railroad tracks, which connects to an existing city trail ending at County Road E2 <br /> (Attachment B: photos 9,10). The proposed trail on the south side of County Road <br /> E2 will meet this city trail. The far southern neighborhoods along Lake Johanna <br /> and Tony Schmidt Park will be able to bike through the railroad underpass trail <br /> to County Road E2 and both Valentine Hills Elementary and the County Library. <br /> As part of the Tony Schmidt Master Plan (Attachment D), the County has <br /> proposed to extend this trail into Ramsey County Open space, past the Arden <br /> Hills Library to Mounds View High School, once again connecting libraries and <br /> schools within our community. <br /> Line 29: Develop a map no larger than 11" x 17". <br /> For Infrastructure projects the map must include: <br /> • current routes, <br /> • the proposed project, <br /> • relevant traffic control devices along the current and proposed <br /> routes, <br /> • and any additional trip generators along the proposed route. <br /> For Non - Infrastructure projects the map must include, <br /> • current routes, <br /> • relevant traffic control devices along the current and proposed <br /> routes, <br /> • and any additional trip generators along the proposed route. <br /> Communities without access to mapping software may use Google's <br /> mapping tools to develop their map. <br /> If the application represents multiple schools, multiple maps may be <br /> submitted. <br /> Line 30: Provide the requested data for each affected roadway. The requested data <br /> is readily available from the city or the county. Please note if the data is <br /> estimated i.e. not based on a formal traffic study. <br /> County Road E2 — Ramsey County, 2 lanes, 8 foot shoulder/parking, 4,100 — <br /> AADT, 5,000— projected (Taken from MnDOT Web site). <br /> Chatham Avenue—2 lanes, No shoulder, 585 ESTIMATED AADT. <br /> Venus Avenue —2 lanes, No shoulder, 135 ESTIMATED AADT. <br /> Line 31: Describe the proposed infrastructure improvement(s) and how it <br /> addresses the barriers described line 27. Please indicate if the proposed <br /> improvement will serve other trips in the area. <br /> The project as proposed: <br /> 1. `Construct a 10 foot wide bituminous trail on the south side of County Road E2, between Old <br /> Snelling and New Brighton Road, in front of Valentine Hills Elementary. (Attachment A: <br /> project map&Attachment B-photos 1,2,7).
