The property at 1235 Red Fox Road is located in Sign District 7. Within this district a maximum sign copy area of 25 square feet, a total sign area of 37.5 square feet, and a height of 8 feet is permitted. The total area of a freestanding sign (including sign copy, decorative features, and structural supports) must be no more than 1.5 times the permitted sign copy area. Since the site fronts two public streets (Red Fox Road and Interstate 694), the property is allowed an additional freestanding sign provided that the sign does not exceed half the size of the maximum sign area allowed for a freestanding sign in this district. The Sign Code does not include specific design standards for freestanding signs in this District. However, the applicant is proposing a high quality monument sign designed and
