Accessory Structures No accessory structures are proposed to be constructed as part of this application. Future homeowners who choose to construct accessory structures will be required to do so in accordance with the required Zoning Requirements unless a variance is granted by the City. B. Tree Preservation The applicant submitted a Tree Survey and Tree Replacement Plan as part of their tree preservation and mitigation requirements (Attachment B). The following table outlines these numbers and the additional requirements of the tree preservation ordinance pertaining to tree removal and tree mitigation regulations. City Code requires a certain number of caliper inches to be planted. If larger trees are planted then fewer trees would be required. Trees proposed to be planted will consist of desirable and native tree species such as Linden, Maple, Hackberry, Locust, Birch, Oak, and mixed types of evergreen trees. The applicant has developed the lots in such a way to preserve as many of the highest quality trees as possible. In total 109 trees will be planted, equating to 272.5 caliper inches. Based on the proposed tree removal, the City’s Tree Preservation Ordinance requires 187 caliper inches to be planted on the site.
