(Not sure of the effective date on this) <br /> <br /> PTO <br />Change plan for all future (new) employees and grandfather <br />in current employees. <br /> <br />Current PTO Plan <br />The current plan: <br /> 0-5 years 22.75 days per year or 7 hours a pay period <br /> 6-10 years 29.25 days per year or 9 hours a pay period <br /> 10 years or more 32.50 days per year or 10 hours a pay period <br /> <br />Personnel Committee Recommendation <br />The plan would change as follows: <br /> 0-3 years 19.50 days per year or 6 hours a pay period <br /> 4-9 years 22.75 days per year or 7 hours a pay period <br /> 10-14 years 24.38 days per year or 7.5 hours a pay period <br /> 15-19 years 27.63 days per year or 8.5 hours a pay period <br /> 20 year or more 29.25 days per year or 9 hours a pay period <br />No change in the carry over amount or pay out amount (max <br />240 hours) <br /> <br /> Heath Insurance <br />No change in how increase in City contribution is calculated, <br />but a change in the City contribution amount to the HSA <br />plan when the cost of insurance is less than what the City <br />contribution is. This will only impact employees that select <br />single coverage at this time. The City contribution to the HSA is <br />capped at $1,650 a year for current employees and $500 a year <br />for (new) future employees. (Effective date for current <br />employees is 1/1/2016 as 2015 was established last fall prior to <br />open enrollment). <br /> <br /> Position Descriptions <br />Have City Council approve all new/updated descriptions <br />when they approve the entire Springsted Compensation <br />Study/Report and the Personnel Committee recommendation <br />on implementation. <br /> <br /> Wages <br />Implement the new compensation plan effective July 1, 2015. <br /> <br />Option 1 effective July 1, 2015 and moving Aaron Thelen on <br />that date and eliminate the six month move that is scheduled <br />8/12/2015. <br /> <br />Option 2 will be implemented as anniversary dates come up over <br />the next year by first moving employees in the current scale and <br />then placing them in the next highest step in the new scale. <br /> <br />Option 3 recommendation for no action on this option.
