ARDEN HILLS PLANNING COMMISSION WORK SESSION – JUNE 3, 2015 4 <br /> <br />Commissioner Holewa questioned how the Commission should voice its concerns with the TRC <br />on July 8th. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holmes encouraged Commissioner Holewa to offer an amendment to the TRC <br />based on the recommendations made by the ERAB. <br /> <br />Commissioner Bartel discussed his experience as a realtor noting that newer homes were <br />already being built to be more energy efficient and this may not need to be a code requirement. <br /> <br />Commissioner Holewa understood that this may be the case, but he suggested that language be <br />included within the TRC to ensure that a specific standard was followed. <br /> <br />Commissioner Zimmerman suggested that the ERAB recommendations be made an appendix <br />to the TRC. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holmes feared that Commissioner Holewa’s requirements would be too <br />specific and recommended that the TRC encourage energy efficiencies. <br /> <br />City Planner Streff explained how the updated TRC and Comprehensive Plan Amendment <br />would be provided to the Commission prior to July 8th. <br /> <br />Chair Thompson thanked the Commission for their input this evening. She looked forward to <br />the July 8th Public Hearing for the Comprehensive Plan Amendment, Rezoning, and the TRC. <br /> <br /> <br />ADJOURN <br /> <br />Chair Thompson moved, seconded by Commissioner Zimmerman, to adjourn the <br />June 3, 2015, Planning Commission Work Session Meeting at 8:00 p.m. The motion <br />carried unanimously (7-0).
