ARDEN HILLS PLANNING COMMISSION — August 5, 2015 8 <br />the Planning Commission recommends approval of this request, staff recommends that the <br />following six (6) conditions be included with the approval: <br />1. That the project shall be completed in accordance with the plans submitted as amended <br />by the conditions of approval. Any significant changes to these plans, as determined by <br />the City Planner, shall require review and approval by the Planning Commission and City <br />Council. <br />2. That the applicant shall continue to abide by all previous agreements, as amended by the <br />conditions of approval of this application. <br />3. That a building permit and grading and erosion control permit shall be obtained for the <br />proposed project. <br />4. That the outdoor play area shall be 3,150 square feet in size and enclosed with an <br />ornamental fence six (6) feet in height. <br />5. That the sidewalk connection across Innovation Way shall align in a perpendicular <br />manner to provide for safe pedestrian movements. <br />6. That the outdoor play area shall not be constructed within any Drainage and Utility <br />Easement. <br />City Planner Streff reviewed the options available to the Planning Commission on this matter: <br />1. Recommend Approval with Conditions <br />2. Recommend Approval as Submitted. <br />3. Recommend Denial <br />4. Table <br />Chair Thompson requested comment from the applicant. <br />Emily Colletti, Boston Scientific, explained that the day care center was being relocated in order <br />to allow for the expansion of the distribution center. She noted the day care center would now be <br />centrally located and expanded. <br />Commissioner Bartel asked how popular the onsite day care center was. <br />Ms. Colletti reported that all rooms within the day care center were currently full. She indicated <br />that the day care center was a great benefit for Boston Scientific employees. <br />Commissioner Holewa moved and Commissioner Zimmerman seconded a motion to <br />recommend approval of Planning Case 15-017 to relocate the day care facility and outdoor <br />play area from Building 9 to Building 10 at 4100 Hamline Avenue North, based on the <br />findings of fact and the submitted plans as amended by the six (6) conditions in the August <br />5, 2015, Report to the Planning Commission. The motion carried unanimously (5-0). <br />REPORTS <br />A. Report from the City Council <br />Councilmember Woodburn updated the Planning Commission on City Council activities. At <br />their regular meeting on July 13, 2015, the City Council approved a Comprehensive Plan <br />
