ARDEN HILLS PLANNING COMMISSION — August 5, 2015 9 <br />Amendment for the TCAAP Master Plan, the rezoning of the 427 -acre TCAAP property, and the <br />TCAAP Redevelopment Code. The Planning Commission reviewed these items on July 8, 2015, <br />and recommended approval. <br />Councilmember Woodburn indicated that at the Work Session on July 20, 2015, the City <br />Council discussed existing regulations in the Zoning Code on outdoor sales and exterior storage <br />uses. The City Council directed staff to research how other cities in the metro area regulate these <br />uses and to report back at a future meeting with recommendations. <br />Councilmember Woodburn stated that the City Council approved Planning Case 15-014 for a <br />Conditional Use Permit (CUP) at 2 Pine Tree Drive. The CUP request from Verizon Wireless <br />was for the installation of 12 panel antennas on the existing Bethel University building on the <br />property. This case was reviewed by the Planning Commission on July 8, 2015, and received a <br />unanimous recommendation for approval. <br />B. TCAAP Update <br />City Planner Streff reported that the City Council approved the TCAAP Redevelopment Code <br />and the Comprehensive Plan Amendment on Monday, July 13, 2015. The Comprehensive Plan <br />Amendment has been submitted to adjacent municipalities and affected jurisdictions for the 60 - <br />day review process. Following the affected jurisdiction review, the Metropolitan Council will <br />have an additional 60 days to review and comment on the document. <br />C. Planning Commission Comments and Requests <br />Commissioner Holewa asked what was taking place at the northwest corner of County Road E <br />and Lexington Avenue. <br />City Planner Streff stated a Goodwill would be located on this site. He explained that the <br />building was originally constructed in the wrong location and after an additional survey the <br />footings would be relocated and the site would be re -compacted. He noted that through <br />litigation this project was approved. <br />Chair Thompson questioned when the work on County Road E would be complete. <br />Associate Planner Bachler reported that he believe the County Road E bridge would be open <br />sometime next week and that the roadway improvements would be completed soon after that. <br />Commissioner Jones thanked staff for the volunteer appreciation picnic. <br />D. Staff Comments <br />None. <br />ADJOURN <br />Commissioner Holewa moved, seconded by Commissioner Zimmerman, to adiourn the <br />August 5, 2015, Planning Commission Meeting at 7:31 p.m. The motion carried <br />unanimously (5-0). <br />
