Page two. <br />Planning Commission Meeting - 1 May - continued <br />After the Gustafson presentation and closing of the hearing, the Commission decided to take no <br />action until receiving and reviewing recommendations from the Village Engineer, the Parks ancg <br />Recreation Committee, and the Public Works Committee. Since Gustafson's option on the 'land. <br />expires soon, they requested a "go" (yes) or "no-go" (no) reply as soon as possible. <br />The preliminary plans for the third addition of townhouse villages by Pemtom, Inc. (near Hamline ' <br />and 96) were presented (Case No. 72-35). Before approval the Commission requested that the <br />Pemtom representatives discuss the proposed streets and. cul-de-sacs with the Village Fire Chief. to <br />assure adequate room for tire trucks to maneuver. <br />Approval of the landscape plan for the Baptist General Conference Apartment building to be <br />constructed on the Bethel Campus was given (Case No. 73-v). Approved Arden Hills participation in Pollution Control Agencies. <br />Abandoned cars Program. Problem of trees interfering with roads: Council states residents' responsi- <br />bility for trimming them. Mrs. Mary Blomquist appointed to Parks and Recreation Committee. Council <br />approved Perry Park Fencing. Gunnar Pettersen appointed as new electrical inspector. Willard John <br />selected as new patrolman. Approved participation in Fire Service Survey as how Fire Department <br />might improve its service in future. <br />Village Council Meeting - 14 May 1973 Reporter - Dave Lacey , <br />NOTE: A vacancy exists at Village Hall for a clerk. Council would prefer to fill position with <br />Arden Hills resident. If interested or know of resident who might be interested, contact Charlotte 1 <br />McNiesh at Village Hall. <br />Approved permit for 30,000 square foot building in Industrial Park on Red Fox Road. Possibility of <br />Village acquiring 60' wide easement from Highway Department running diagonally between County F <br />and Hamline to 96 and Lexington. Would be used for Park and Recreation. Mr. Buckley reviewed <br />resident response on Park questionnaire. Indicated 15% return with nature trails, bike trails and <br />tennis courts high priorities. James Lavalle hired as part-time temporary patrolman. Lights were <br />approved for Noble and New Brighton Road, and Amble and Hamline. <br />
