Project Personnel / 18 <br />A Proposal to Provide a 2040 Comprehensive Plan Update for the City of Arden Hills <br />Erin Heydinger, EIT <br />Water/Wastewater Specialist <br />Erin is a Graduate Engineer in WSB’s Water/Wastewater Group and brings several years of field and <br />research experience. She transitioned into the field of environmental engineering after working in <br />environmental science and ecology. She has a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering and <br />Science through Johns Hopkins University. Erin’s experience includes water reuse projects, water <br />systems modeling, wellhead protection planning and implementation, and stormwater management <br />and permitting. Prior to joining WSB, she was involved in several projects in the Colorado Rockies <br />and central Florida and worked in both the public and private sector. Erin’s expertise includes water <br />distribution systems, reuse, and integrated water management. <br />Scott Mareck, AICP <br />Transportation Planner <br />Scott Mareck is an AICP planner with more than 23 years of transportation planning experience. <br />He has led or been involved with a wide array of transportation elements, including numerous City, <br />County, State and Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) transportation plans, corridor studies, <br />and bicycle and pedestrian plans. Scott also is an expert in local government inter-jurisdictional <br />coordination at both a system planning and project implementation level and is well known for his <br />knowledge of state and federal transportation funding strategies. He is adept at bringing diverse <br />constituencies together and working through challenging project issues to implement transportation <br />planning visions. Scott brings a big picture regional perspective and strong project management <br />skills to every project. <br />Sue Polka, PE <br />City Engineer/Public Works Director <br />Sue has more than 30 years of industry experience, as both Director of Public Works and City <br />Engineer, for communities in Minnesota, Arizona, and Texas. She has developed Comprehensive <br />Plan updates for the Cities of Mendota Heights, MN and Avondale, AZ. Sue has been serving as <br />interim Assistant Public Works Director/City Engineer for the City of Arden Hills since September <br />2016.
