The proposed mechanical equipment installation on <br />the new office building would be 14-feet 8-inches above the roof line. Tree Preservation – Meets Requirements <br /> <br />The applicant submitted a Tree Survey and Tree Replacement Plan as part of their tree <br />preservation and mitigation requirements (Attachment B page L04-07D). The following <br />table outlines these numbers and the additional requirements of the tree preservation <br />ordinance pertaining to tree removal and tree mitigation regulations. <br /> <br />Development of the site as proposed in the Master PUD requires extensive tree removal. The <br />applicant has stated their intent to expand the Land O’Lakes Campus in such a way that <br />preserves as many high quality trees as possible, knowing that many of the significant trees <br />will have to be removed in order for the property to accommodate the expansion of the <br />Campus. Based on the proposed tree removal for both phases of the project, the City’s Tree <br />Preservation Ordinance requires 2,709 caliper inches of tree plantings. At this time, the <br />application is proposing a total of 2,728 caliper inches or 780 trees. <br /> <br />
