League of Minnesota Cities Model Contract: 10/10/2016 <br />Public W Employment Agreement Page 2 <br />8. PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING LICENSE, DUES AND <br />SUBSCRIPTIONS. Employer shall budget and pay for professional license, dues and <br />subscriptions for Employee which are deemed reasonable and necessary for Employee's <br />continued state licensure as well as participation in national, regional, state and local associations <br />necessary and desirable for Employee's continued professional participation, growth and <br />advancement, including but not limited to Professional Engineering license, American Public <br />Works Association, City Engineers Association of Minnesota, and American Society of Civil <br />Engineers. These items will be reviewed during preparation of the annual budget. <br /> <br /> <br />9. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT. Employer shall budget and pay necessary <br />and reasonable registration, travel and subsistence expenses of Employee for professional and <br />official travel, meetings and occasions adequate to continue the professional development of <br />Employee and to adequately pursue necessary official and other committees thereof which <br />Employee serves as a member. Employee shall use good judgment in her outside activities so she <br />will not neglect his primary duties to the Employer. <br /> <br /> <br />10. AUTOMOBILE. Employer shall reimburse Employee for job-related mileage at <br />the IRS rate. <br /> <br /> <br />11. GENERAL EXPENSES. Employer shall reimburse Employee reasonable <br />miscellaneous job related expenses which it is anticipated Employee will incur from time to time <br />when provided appropriate documentation. <br /> <br /> <br />12. HOURS OF WORK. It is understood the position of Public Works Director <br />requires attendance at evening meetings and occasionally at weekend meetings. It is understood <br />by Employee that additional compensation and compensatory time shall not be allowed for such <br />additional expenditures of time. It is further understood that Employee may absent herself from <br />the office to a reasonable extent in consideration of extraordinary time expenditures for evening <br />and weekend meetings at other than normal working hours. <br /> <br /> <br />16. TERMINATION BENEFITS. <br /> <br />Within one year of hire as Public Works Director/City Engineer: <br /> <br />In the event Employee is terminated by the Employer during such time that Employee is <br />willing and able to perform her duties , the City will give the employee a six month notice of <br />termination followed with the Employer agreeing to pay Emplo yee her last paycheck a lump sum <br />cash payment equal to 6 months aggregate salary, benefits, and all accrued PTO. <br /> <br />After one year, but before the end of year two of employment as Public Works <br />Director/City Engineer:
