Joynes, Sr., City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: Julie Hanson, City Clerk <br /> <br />SUBJECT: 2018 Tobacco License Renewals <br /> <br /> Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br /> $ $ $ <br /> <br />Council Should Consider the Following Options <br /> <br />Approving the 2018 tobacco license renewals as listed below. <br /> <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />The following businesses have requested renewal of their City tobacco licenses for 2018: <br /> <br />• Arden Hills Shell (Brausen) <br />• Arden Hills Tobacco <br />• Cub Foods <br />• Holiday Station <br />• Walgreens <br /> <br />Each of these establishments has successfully passed a background check conducted by the Ramsey <br />County Sheriff’s Office. <br /> <br />An inspection was conducted by the Lake Johanna Fire Department (LJFD) and all passed <br />successfully with the exception of two businesses – Walgreens and Arden Hills Tobacco. These two <br />businesses have been issued minor correction orders, per Nate Berg, Fire Marshal/Deputy Chief, and <br />it is anticipated the corrections will be made by the end of this month. Fire Marshal Berg will follow <br />up with the City Clerk following successful reinspection of these two businesses. No issues are <br />anticipated at this time. <br /> <br />
