Project Approach / 15 <br />Review of existing system <br />The goal of this task is to provide a comprehensive review of the existing GIS and develop a road map for the system to <br />grow moving forward. The majority of the work for this task will be completed on-site in focused requirements gathering <br />sessions with departmental staff. Some follow-up actions will be carried out through e-mail or by phone when it makes the <br />process more effi cient. <br />Justin Hansen will begin by meeting with the City Project Lead and other key staff to defi ne high-level enterprise objectives <br />and requirements. Once the enterprise requirements have been defi ned, WSB will hold at least one workshop with staff to <br />gather business, stakeholder, solution, and transition requirements. The City should plan on departmental staff spending <br />one hour for meetings with WSB staff to discuss GIS usage and needs for the following: <br />Future Updates <br />Far from a static document, <br />the GIS Assessment will be <br />updated as needed. This will be <br />accomplished though quarterly <br />meetings with Justin and Bryan to <br />review staff needs. <br />Once meetings have been completed, WSB will produce a GIS Assessment that describes the current system and the <br />City’s needs.
