June 20, 2018 <br />Ms. Sue Polka, P.E. <br />City of Arden Hills <br />Public Works Director/City Engineer <br />1245 West Highway 96 <br />Arden Hills, MN 55112 <br />RE: Colleen Avenue Drainage Improvements <br />Proposal for Preliminary and Final Design Services <br />Dear Ms. Polka: <br />We are pleased to provide you with this proposal for professional engineering and surveying services in <br />support of the Colleen Avenue Drainage Improvement project. Our project understanding and scope of <br />work have been crafted based on our recent conversations, a site meeting with the neighbors and a <br />review of the March 12, 2018 “Indian Oaks Area Downstream Drainage Review” and feasibility report. <br />For this scope of work outlined herein, Bolton & Menk proposes to provide an estimated 335 hours of <br />surveying and engineering professional services for a total estimated, not-to-exceed, fee of $42,142. <br />We understand portions of the drainage improvements identified in the report have been included in <br />the recently awarded 2018 Street & Utility Construction, which is currently under construction. This <br />proposal is for the design of the Colleen Avenue drainage improvements as outlined in the report. We <br />believe the City will find outstanding service and value in our approach to the Colleen Avenue Drainage <br />Improvements project as a result of our client focus, relevant project experience, and our dedication to <br />effective communication with the City and the neighboring property owner partners. <br />Client Focus –A successful project comes from a thorough understanding of your expectations.
