lt <br />EN HILLS <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />Attachment A <br />Public Notification Process for Planning Land Use Application Policy <br />Purpose <br />It is the City's intent to expand and enhance the dissemination of information to the residents of <br />the City and to encourage involvement by the residents in the planning process. <br />Scope <br />This policy applies to the public notification process for neighborhood, Planning Commission <br />and City Council meetings depending on the type of Planning Land Use Application. <br />Neighborhood Meeting Notification Procedure <br />It is the applicant's responsibility to hold a neighborhood meeting, in accordance with the <br />guidelines described in the following paragraphs. <br />1. Land Use Application proposals which are located adjacent to or within a residential zoning <br />district shall hold a neighborhood meeting for the following applications: preliminary plat, <br />conditional use permit, planned unit development, rezoning or compressive plan <br />amendments. <br />2. The Applicant shall work with City staff when scheduling a neighborhood meeting. The <br />applicant shall send out notices at least 10 days prior to the meeting. Meetings shall be <br />scheduled Monday through Thursday evenings and not on an evening preceding a holiday. <br />The applicant shall host the meeting and present the project for questions and answers. <br />3. The meeting shall be held prior to making Land Use Application with the city. City staff <br />at there may require additional neighborhood meetings at their discretion. <br />4. Notifications for the neighborhood meeting shall be sent to addresses within 1000 feet of <br />the subject property. Mailing address shall be obtained from the City of Arden Hills via <br />Ramsey County Property Records, but it is the applicants responsibly to ensure all of the <br />applicable addresses receive notification. <br />5. A representative from the city will be present at the meeting as an observer. <br />6. The applicant shall make available a complete description of the request, including copies <br />of printed materials and maps, where appropriate. <br />7. When the meeting notice is mailed to adjacent property owners, a copy of the notification <br />shall also be sent to Planning staff, Planning Commissioners and City Councilmembers. <br />Please contact the staff for current member rosters. <br />8. Minimum information to be included in the meeting notice: <br />a. Name of applicant or contact person, address, phone number and email. <br />b. Proposed development name. <br />c. Property location description (location map). <br />d. Describe proposed project and application request. <br />
