■ Change Order No. 2 in the amount of $219,014.45 for subgrade corrections and base <br />material. <br />■ Change Order No. 3 in the amount of $124,570.73 for additional depth extension of <br />helical piles for Wall 3, reinforced soil slope for Wall 1, and extra signage for detour <br />route. <br />■ Change Order No. 4 in the amount of $5,904.56 for modifications to the pedestrian <br />flasher pedestal at the Bethel University intersection and additional drain tile within the <br />roadway. <br />■ Change Order No. 5 in the amount of $2,585.22 for additional signage needed to direct <br />traffic to Bethel University. <br />Sunram Construction continues to have unresolved change order claims for the project. WSB <br />and Sunram Construction attempted to negotiate a settlement of claims over the past several <br />months. Change Order No. 6 in the amount of $31,255.57 was prepared by WSB based on <br />recent negotiations. A copy of draft Change Order No. 6 is provided in Attachment B. Sunram <br />Construction has indicated that they continue to have approximately $89,000 of additional <br />change order claims for the project beyond the items included in the proposed Change Order <br />No. 6. <br />City staff requested this item on the work session agenda to provide a status update for the <br />project and review the terms of dispute resolution as outlined in the construction contract. The <br />Supplementary General Conditions state: "If the dispute cannot be resolved between the <br />Contractor and the Engineer staff, the presidents of the respective firms will meet to attempt to <br />resolve the dispute(s).
