City of Arden Hills Personnel Policy'_` Effective February 29, 2016 <br />ri` 1 ILN HILLS Amended December- ' n October 28 2019 <br />CITY PROPERTY <br />The City will furnish all applicable tools, equipment, vehicles and similar instruments of <br />production necessary for an employee to perform their job. Such items are the <br />responsibility of the employee to maintain. No City equipment of any kind is to be used or <br />operated by anyone other than a City employee. The willful damage, destruction, or the <br />unauthorized removal of city -owned property shall be grounds for immediate dismissal. <br />Any employee who has authorized possession of keys, tools, cell phones, pagers, or other <br />city -owned equipment must register his/her name and the serial number (if applicable) or <br />identifying information about the equipment with his/her supervisor. All such equipment <br />must be turned in and accounted for by any employee leaving employment with the city <br />in order to resign in good standing. <br />Employees are responsible for the safekeeping and care of all such equipment. The <br />duplication of keys owned by the city is prohibited unless authorized by the City <br />Administrator. Any employee found having an unauthorized duplicate key will be subject <br />to disciplinary action. <br />CITY BRANDED CLOTHING POLICY <br />Permanent Arden Hills City Staff that do not receive a prescribed uniform <br />allowance will receive City branded clothing on the following schedule: <br />O d year: One polo -shirt with the Arden Hills logo embroidered <br />Even year: One sweatshirt with the Arden Hills logo embroidered <br />New employees will receive the article of clothing for that year when they start <br />employment. <br />The City Administrator, Department Heads, and staff (at the City Administrator's <br />discretion) that frequently interact with the public in the field will also be issued one button <br />down shirt embroidered with the Ci , 's logo annually. <br />These clothing items will be considered necessary as part of the employee's role with the <br />City and may be required to be returned to the City when an employee's service ends with <br />the City. <br />An emplo, e��purchase additional City branded apparel at their own expense. All items <br />must be approved by their supervisor to ensure the items meet anyapplicable dress code <br />or other standard. <br />29 <br />
