<br />ARTICLE XXIII — HOLIDAYS <br />23.1 The EMPLOYER will provide twelve (12) paid holidays as follows: <br />Holiday <br />New Year’s Day <br />Martin Luther King Day <br />Presidents' Day <br />Memorial Day <br />Independence Day <br />Labor Day <br />Veterans Day <br />Thanksgiving Day <br />Thanksgiving Day Day After <br />Christmas Eve Day <br />Christmas Day <br />New Year's Eve Day <br />Observance Day <br />January 1 <br />Third Monday in January <br />Third Monday in February <br />Last Monday in May <br />July 4 <br />First Monday in September <br />November 11 <br />Fourth Thursday in November <br />Fourth Friday in November <br />December 24 <br />December 25 <br />December 31 <br />23.2 In the event that New Year's Day, Independence Day, Veteran's Day, or Christmas Day fall on a <br />Sunday, the following Monday shall be a paid holiday. If any of the preceding holidays fall on a <br />Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be a paid holiday. <br />23.3 Employees required to work on a designated holiday shall be compensated one and one-half <br />(1.5) times their base hourly pay rate for each hour worked, plus Holiday pay. Employees <br />required to work on the actual holiday shall be compensated two (2) times their base hourly <br />pay rate for each hour worked plus holiday pay if the actual holiday qualifies for holiday pay in <br />section 23 1. <br />ARTICLE XXIV — UNIFORMS <br />24.1 The Employer shall provide each employee with an annual uniform allowance of five six <br />hundred dollars ($500600.00) and an ANSI approved safety boot allowance of one <br />hundred and seventy fivetwo-hundred dollars ($175200.00). <br />24.2 Employees shall purchase ANSI approved safety boots and uniforms from the same <br />vendor not to exceed the maximum allowance. Uniforms are to be approved by the <br />Public Works Director. <br />24.3 The Employer will provide the Employee with an authorized 3-in-1 reflective safety jacket <br />every other year and a reflective rain flagger suit every three years. <br />24.4 Employees will purchase and wear only uniform items that have been authorized by the <br />City and are prohibited from wearing personal items as uniform items. <br /> <br />24.5 Receipts are required for all items purchased. <br />11
