Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM – 1I <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />DATE: March 16, 2020 <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br /> <br />FROM: Dave Perrault, City Administrator <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Senior Engineering Tech Role Discussion <br /> <br /> Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br /> $100,640 Not yet determined Multiple Funds Not including overtime <br /> <br />For Council Consideration <br /> <br />The Personnel Committee, at its last meeting, discussed the Senior Engineering Technician role <br />and made a recommendation to upgrade the position from Senior Engineering Tech to Assistant <br />City Engineer. <br /> <br />The City previously had an Assistant City Engineer that went vacant in 2016, which the City <br />decided not fill. In 2018, the City Council authorized the creation of the Senior Engineering <br />Tech role, which has been filled by David Swearingen since October of 2018. <br /> <br />Mr. Swearingen is currently fulfilling several duties and responsibilities identified in the <br />Assistant City Engineer position description.
