Development of the Risk and Resilience Assessment <br />Arden Hills, MN <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> 2 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />James Sadler I Water Plant Operator <br /> <br />EXPERENCE <br />42 Years <br /> <br />REGISTRATION/LICENSE <br />MPCA SB Collection System License (#4519) <br />Class A Water License (#7879) <br /> <br />Jim Sadler has recently joined the HR Green team as a Consultant following 42 years of dedicated service to the City <br />of Maple Grove, 25 of which he served as Utilities Supervisor. In addition to his time with the City of Maple Grove Jim <br />spent 15 years as a Captain with the Maple Grove Fire Department, he is the current chair of the Water, Wastewater <br />Advisory Board for the State of MN, past chair of the MN AWWA and a Leonard Thompson Award recipient. He also <br />sat on an MPCA Committee that wrote exam questions for the SB, SC and SD licenses. <br /> <br />Jim has written and implemented countless procedures and specs, planned, and executed significant infrastructure <br />improvement projects, and planned and scheduled ongoing system and infrastructure maintenance of all things <br />sanitary sewer and water. He’s played a hands-on role in an array of design and improvements for both systems and <br />infrastructure projects. He has been in the trenches, he knows what to anticipate, and now he brings his expertise to <br />HR Green to assure HR Green is able to provide clients with the systems they need. <br /> <br />SELECTED PROJECT EXPERIENCE <br /> <br />City of Maple Grove, Maple Grove, MN - November 1976 – March 2018 - Superintendent of Sewer <br />and Water <br />As superintendent of sewer and water for the City of Maple Grove Jim was responsible for the day to day operations <br />of the water and wastewater systems. He oversaw a department of 19, including 12 direct reports, seven indirect <br />reports and nine seasonal indirect reports. Jim was responsible for managing an annual budget of approximately <br />$18M; included in that budget were salaries, system maintenance, operations, equipment purchases and <br />maintenance. During his time as superintendent he played a key role in the strategic planning, design, and <br />construction project management for both a new water treatment pl ant and new maintenance facility as well as <br />numerous ground reservoirs and water towers. The population of Maple Grove grew from 6,500 to 68,000 during his <br />time there, giving Jim a substantial amount of experience with the design, construction and maintena nce of water and <br />wastewater systems. <br /> <br />
