I speak from experience when I say chickens are uns anitary and off ensiv ely smelling, the fowl are foul. Chic k ens are loud and can be destruc tive. I c hoose to live in a suburban setting where this type hobby is not prac ticed in small s paces. Keeping c hickens is not the s ame as growing a garden. If they are left outside through the winter the was te freezes and builds up then has to be dealt wit h when thaw comes and by that time it's really ripe. Any one who wants to know what t hey're in for should v isit a poultry farm. In fact, I sugges t city council members vis it a poultry farm prior t o v oting on this issue. 10/19/2020 4:26 PM 80 I had no idea my neighbor kept c hick ens when I lived in St Louis Park until I was on my roof and look ing into his yard. Maybe not allowing c hickens (like s lp at the time) would mak e people really c areful?
