Landscaping and Tree Preservation – Meets Requirements <br />The Zoning Code lists several criteria for landscaping and tree preservation, including minimum <br />caliper inches, tree mitigation, street frontage, perennials and shrubberies, planting islands and <br />tree selection. The specifics of these are discussed more fully in the Planning Commission report. <br /> <br />B. Drainage, Wetlands and Flood Plain – Meets Requirements <br />The city code requires stormwater management be provided to meet water quantity, infiltration, <br />and water quality requirements. The application identifies the construction of a stormwater pond <br />located to the north of the building. Prior to the issuance of a land disturbance permit, the <br />Applicant shall submit an operation and maintenance plan for the long-term care of all on-site <br />and off-site stormwater facilities. <br /> <br />C. Lighting – Meets Requirements <br />The applicant is proposing one light pole in the planting island in the center of the parking lot <br />and 15 wall mounted lights near the entrances of the building. Section 1325.05 Subd. 3 states <br />cast light shall not exceed a meter reading of one foot candle on the travel lanes of adjoining <br />public streets or 0.4 foot candles on adjoining residential property. The proposed lighting plan <br />does not exceed 0.4 foot candles at any property line. <br /> <br />D. Screening and Fencing – Meets Requirements <br />The mechanical equipment for the building will be located on the roof and will be screened from <br />view. The applicant is proposing screening to match exterior material colors. <br />
