B. Planning and Zoning • <br /> 1. Supervises and assists the Associate Planner in developing and implementing of <br /> land use plans, regulations and policies. <br /> 2. Plans and organizes activities of the Planning Department to ensure that adequate <br /> services are being provided to City residents and other parties of interest. <br /> 3. Assists in the planning of the development and implementation of the re-use plan <br /> for the Twin City Army Ammunition Plant. <br /> C. Building Inspections, Code Enforcement, and Plan Review <br /> 1. Supervises and assists the Building Inspector and other inspectors to ensure <br /> positive and effective enforcement of City plans, policies and ordinances. <br /> 2. Supervise and manage the animal control and ensure the programs success by <br /> monitoring the providers performance and budget. <br /> D. Other <br /> 1. Prepares the department budget and supervises and coordinates the preparation of • <br /> the remainder of the community development activity budgets and the <br /> enforcement of these budgets. <br /> 2. Attends Planning Commission, Parks and Recreation Commission, and City <br /> Council meetings as apparent or assigned. <br /> 3. Assists with other special projects as assigned by City Administrator. <br /> 4. Coordinate with the City Administrator the department's hiring of temporary and <br /> seasonal employees. <br /> 5. Represent the City at meetings of various local and state agencies including the <br /> Metropolitan Council. <br /> 6.
