0 <br /> Minutes of Regular Parks and Recreation Meeting <br /> Tuesday , September 18, 1984 <br /> • Page Three <br /> Committee to attend because the proposed Budget is over and things <br /> are going to be cut . <br /> Tennis Courts <br /> Parks Director Buckley stated that the tennis court at Hazelnut Park <br /> is finished an it is now in use. The tennis courts at Cummings and <br /> Floral Parks should be ready within about a week . <br /> Village Pedestrian Trails and Corridors to Open Spaces <br /> The Committee reviewed a detailed report passed out by Parks <br /> Director Buckley. The report included the name and location of each <br /> trail , the present status of each trail and each trail ' s future <br /> improvement proposal . <br /> Crepeau Park Report <br /> The Committee reviewed material passed out by Messerly regarding the <br /> update of progress and plans for Crepeau Park , Also , it was decided <br /> that they recommend the name from Crepeau Nature Center to Crepeau <br /> Nature Preserve . The Committee expressed appreciation for the work <br /> Messerly has done . <br /> Messerly requested volunteers to meet at Crepeau Park on September <br /> 29th , 8: 00 a .m. - 12 :00 . They are planning to clear land for <br /> planting areas . <br /> Fall Festival <br /> This was the third annual Arden Hills fall festival which was held <br /> at County Road E between Lexington and Snelling . The proceeds will <br /> go to the Crepeau Park Project. $1000 was donated for Cummings <br /> Park back stop from proceeds from 1983 festival . <br /> Summer Program Report <br /> he new tennis class instruction has increased the interest in <br /> tennis in Arden Hills . K. Enrooth mentioned how much his <br /> daughters enjoyed the tennis lessons this summer. Buckley <br /> stated that Sharon Hughes has been an excellent tennis instructor. <br /> Buckley shared letters of appreciation for the wonderful job the <br /> Parks Committee has done with the Parks and Recreation this summer. <br /> Parkway Joint Committee Report <br /> ive members from the Parks Committee have volunteered to serve on <br /> the newly formed Parkway Committee. They are Adele Anderson , <br /> Mary Gillies , Don Messerly, Tom Sather, and David Sand . Several <br /> Planning Commission members will also serve. Councilmember <br /> Mulcahy is having some preliminary meetings with Planning <br /> Consultant Orlyn Miller. First meeting for the Committee will be <br /> in October. <br /> • Adjournment <br /> e meeting was adjourned at 10:05 p.m. <br /> The next Parks and Recreation Committee Meeting will be on <br /> October 9 , 1984 at 7 : 30 p .m. <br />
