All normal City policies apply. <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> The City Council directed Staff to recruit for either a Communications Coordinator or a Senior <br />Communications Coordinator at a previous meeting. The City received four applications for each <br />role, totaling eight applications. Staff interviewed five candidates and selected Luke Cardona as the <br />finalist. He comes with close to ten years of experience in communications roles, including previous <br />experience as a Communications Manager with the City of Fridley. <br /> <br />Budget Impact <br /> This position was previously budgeted as a part-time position, so it will be higher than previously <br />budgeted but will be partially offset as the position was vacant following the departure of the <br />previous person. This authorization will also allow the Finance Director to make any needed <br />adjustments to the budget for 2023.
